Trellis serves as the premier legal research platform for state trial courts, providing comprehensive coverage across thousands of jurisdictions and millions of cases in the United States. We specialize in aggregating and structuring trial court filings, rulings, and motions into a single, searchable interface. By leveraging advanced data infrastructure and AI-driven analysis, we empower attorneys to evaluate judge tendencies, assess opposing counsel, and develop data-backed strategies. We are currently seeking a Junior Product Designer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity to help us refine and expand our enterprise SaaS platform.
Key outcomes
- Own the end-to-end design process, moving from initial discovery and research through to final delivery and iteration.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs tailored to complex user workflows.
- Lead usability testing and user interviews to ensure our design decisions are rooted in genuine user needs.
- Work alongside Product Managers to define core problems, validate potential solutions, and manage project priorities.
- Coordinate with our engineering team to ensure that all designs are implemented with high quality and technical precision.
- Maintain brand and product consistency by working closely with our marketing department.
- Help evolve our internal design system and establish robust UX standards.
- Utilize user feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvements to the product experience.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in product design, preferably within the B2B or enterprise SaaS sectors.
- A compelling portfolio that demonstrates your ability to solve complex problems through end-to-end design.
- Proven experience designing for workflow-heavy applications, dashboards, or complex platforms.
- Practical experience conducting user research and facilitating user interviews.
- High proficiency with Figma and other modern design and prototyping tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
- A balanced approach to design that considers user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, iterative startup culture.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience working in legal tech, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with designing for data-heavy interfaces or analytical software.
- Experience in building or contributing to a scalable design system.
- Exposure to growth-focused or conversion-oriented design projects.
