Product Designer at Halo

The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who will partner closely with our Head of Design to shape how scientists and corporate R&D teams experience Halo. In this fully remote role you will translate complex marketplace needs into intuitive, elegant product features that make research collaborations feel effortless. Your work will sit at the heart of our mission, directly influencing how the platform supports both sides of every scientific partnership while we scale.

A day in the life

• You will start by listening-conducting qualitative interviews and reviewing usage data to understand the needs of scientists, corporate innovation teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Next you will turn those insights into tangible designs, moving from quick sketches and prototypes to polished interfaces that you test, refine, and hand off to engineering.
• Throughout the week you will contribute to our growing design system, share new tools or methods with teammates, and join cross-functional discussions that keep every feature aligned with both user goals and business priorities.

Who you are

You bring at least four years of product design experience and a portfolio that demonstrates strong interaction, UX, and visual design skills on sophisticated business tools. You have guided projects from open-ended questions to shipped features in fast-paced environments, and you write clear microcopy that helps users feel confident. You move comfortably between independent deep work and collaborative workshops, justify your decisions with research or data, and feel at home in Agile delivery. Familiarity with modern design and prototyping tools is essential, and you value thoughtful feedback in both directions. Bonus points if you have worked at a fast-growing startup, designed for a B2B marketplace or similar platform, used analytics to steer design choices, or thrived on a fully distributed team. English fluency is required.
