Product Designer at Route

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to help us redefine the post-purchase experience for millions of shoppers and top-tier brands. At Route, we connect the world’s commerce by simplifying package tracking, protection, and returns, and we are looking for a creative partner to help shape our visual identity across our entire product suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of marketing and product communications, including email, web, and in-app messaging.
• Create elegant, user-focused UI for our merchant and shopper platforms.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
• Partner with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to bring concepts to life.
• Ensure all visual experiences are accessible, inclusive, and human-centered.
• Contribute to visual storytelling through illustration, motion, or investor-facing materials.
• Participate in design reviews and quality assurance to refine our user experiences.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of professional experience in brand design, either in-house or at an agency.
• A strong online portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand systems, communications design, and digital products.
• Deep knowledge of graphic design, art direction, typography, layout, and color theory.
• Proven ability to build and implement design systems that maintain consistency.
• Proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, motion design, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced motion design skills using After Effects or Cinema4D.
• Familiarity with current branding trends in fashion, lifestyle, and sports.
• Experience working within the e-commerce sector or with platforms like Shopify.
• Strong illustration or visual storytelling capabilities.

The salary range for this role is $165,000 to $203,000, depending on your location and experience.
