We are building a world-class team of creators who are passionate about making games that resonate with players. Our studio is a global collective of developers, headquartered in Los Angeles, with a history of contributing to iconic titles like League of Legends, Destiny, and Apex Legends. We are currently seeking a Principal UX Designer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will report to the Design Director and play a pivotal part in shaping the user experience for our upcoming project.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the end-to-end player experience, including gameplay flows, information architecture, and journey mapping to ensure our game remains intuitive and engaging.
- Collaborate directly within Unreal Engine 5 alongside UI engineers to design and implement high-quality assets that meet our production standards.
- Establish the creative benchmark for our design discipline by developing style guides, maintaining UX systems, and providing mentorship to other team members.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of professional experience in UX and UI design, specifically with a proven history of navigating complex design challenges with minimal supervision.
- A deep understanding of game development cycles and the practical realities of shipping a title.
- Technical proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 and a strong ability to think in scalable, systemic terms to solve player needs.
- A track record of building and scaling design standards for teams, paired with a genuine passion for mentoring fellow designers.
What we offer
The annual salary range for this position is $185,000 to $230,000. We strive to support our team members with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
