The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Podcast Producer to join our team. This role involves managing the end-to-end production of our podcast series, from initial research and scripting to technical setup and post-production, including video editing, shorts and distribution strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the podcast landscape, exceptional research skills, and the ability to engage with high-level profiles professionally and confidently.

What you'll do:

• Research the speaker in depth, developing a comprehensive understanding of their background, previous appearances, and key talking points.
• Create detailed scripts and questions to use during the podcast recording.
• Ensure all preparations are complete for an in-depth, engaging interview.
• Adequately prepare the speaker and team to ensure their equipment is functional, and the team is coordinated and prepared for the recording session.
• Handle all technical aspects of the podcast recording, ensuring high-quality audio and video. (Riverside experience is desirable).
• Oversee the recording session, ensuring all technical elements run smoothly and the interview stays on track.
• Lead the post-production process, including editing the recording, creating an engaging/capturing intro, and preparing the final episode for release.
• Extract transcripts from each episode for further content development.
• Create detailed descriptions and engaging titles for each episode, leveraging best practices for platforms like Apple, Spotify, and YouTube.
• Produce and edit short videos and clips from the main episode for distribution on social media channels.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and features in podcasting to continually improve our content and reach.
• This is a high velocity role, with our podcast being purely online, with expectations of creating one episode per week (or more). 

This role could be a good fit for you if:

• You have proven experience in end-to-end podcast production, including research, scripting, recording, and post-production.
• You have strong research skills and are detail oriented, with a curiosity and ability to dig deep into a subject.
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with high-level profiles.
• You have technical proficiency with podcasting tools, particularly Riverside, and basic video editing skills.
• You have the ability to manage multiple deliverables for each episode, including full episodes, transcripts, descriptions, and social media clips.
• You have knowledge of best practices for podcast distribution and promotion across various platforms.
• You are passionate about podcasts and have a deep understanding of the podcast landscape.
• You are a self-starter with a figure it out mentality,  capable of working independently and taking initiative.
