Are you ready to help define the future of brand engagement within the vibrant world of youth culture and entertainment? At Fnatic, we are deeply invested in the Japanese market, where we have already established a meaningful presence by connecting global brands like Sony and Red Bull with the rapidly growing gaming and esports community. We are looking for a visionary leader to join us as our first dedicated Partnerships hire in Japan, where you will play a central role in scaling our impact and bringing even more household names into our ecosystem.

What you bring

As a Senior Partnerships Lead working on a full-time basis in Japan, you will be the driving force behind our commercial growth in the region. You will leverage our existing success in digital media and esports to build new revenue streams and foster long-term relationships. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a deep understanding of the Japanese market to build relationships with decision-makers who want to reach youth audiences through gaming.
  • Managing your own pipeline of opportunities to meet revenue targets while providing regular progress updates to our leadership team.
  • Negotiating contract terms and collaborating with our legal and commercial operations teams to finalize agreements.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong background in selling and delivering digital media properties, either directly or through an agency. You should be a strategic thinker who understands how brands can effectively engage with younger audiences to meet their marketing goals. Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese are essential for this role. We value individuals who are creative, possess a natural rapport with others, and have a proven track record of over-achieving in sales and commercial management. You should be comfortable working with autonomy and demonstrate a commitment to constant self-improvement.
