What you bring

As a Mid-Level Network Engineer working in a full-time capacity, you will be the backbone of our client infrastructure. Based in Rochester, NY, you will operate in a hybrid environment, balancing remote tasks with on-site visits. Your primary focus will be on engineering, design, and system administration to ensure our clients have seamless connectivity. Your core responsibilities include:

• Designing and deploying secure, scalable network architectures including LANs, WANs, firewalls, and VPNs across diverse client environments.
• Proactively monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure to maintain peak performance, while performing regular hardware and software upgrades.
• Serving as a key technical point of contact for clients, providing expert support and ensuring all security compliance standards are met.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who possesses 3 to 5 years of experience in network engineering, ideally within a managed services setting. You should be highly proficient in TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, and QoS, with hands-on experience managing hardware from vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, and Meraki. A strong command of CLI administration and cloud connectivity in AWS or Azure is essential. We value excellent communication skills in English and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. While a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred, we place significant weight on industry certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+. You must also hold a valid NYS driver’s license and be comfortable traveling to client sites as needed, including occasional out-of-state travel.
