About the Role
We are searching for a talented Multi-channel Storyteller to join our team in a temporary capacity. As a mid-level writer with a passion for social media, you will help us amplify our mission and inspire the next generation of tech leaders. If you have a background in coding or STEAM, that is a significant bonus. You will be responsible for developing and executing creative marketing strategies that engage our audience and raise awareness for our work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop compelling content across our various communication channels to increase engagement and promote our organizational mission.
- Collaborate closely with our creative marketing and cross-functional teams to design and implement impactful campaigns.
- Draft high-quality copy for a variety of assets, including social media posts, promotional banners, email newsletters, event descriptions, and text-based communications.
Requirements
- Possess 2 to 3 years of professional experience in writing for marketing or social media platforms.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to produce creative and engaging content.
- Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Show a deep passion for the mission and vision of Black Girls Code.
- Exhibit comfort working in a fast-paced environment while managing ambiguity and taking the initiative to find necessary support.
Location
This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere.
