At Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, we are a national engineering firm dedicated to solving the most complex challenges our clients face. With a team of over 700 professionals across eight offices in the United States, we specialize in building enclosures, advanced analysis, code consulting, and applied science. We pride ourselves on being bold thinkers who never settle for the status quo, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for exploration and excellence to join our team.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Marketing Pursuit Specialist to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. This is a mid-level position designed for a talented professional who can partner with our technical staff to create high-impact proposals and qualifications packages. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for translating technical expertise into compelling narratives, you will find a great home here.
What will you do?
- Develop, write, and proofread complex marketing materials, including proposals, presentations, and project descriptions, while utilizing branded templates in Adobe InDesign.
- Create custom, benefit-focused content that highlights our technical capabilities and directly addresses specific project requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership and senior technical staff to articulate our unique value propositions through creative collateral like infographics and custom cover letters.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field, along with at least three years of experience in proposal development, preferably within the architecture, engineering, or construction sectors. You should be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign. We value candidates who possess strong interpersonal skills, disciplined project management abilities to handle critical deadlines, and a commitment to clear technical communication.
What's in it for you?
We offer a robust total compensation package designed to support your health, well-being, and future prosperity. Our benefits include:
- Comprehensive medical insurance with substantial company contributions toward premiums.
- A 401(k) plan to help you save for the future.
- Profit sharing opportunities.
- Generous paid time off to ensure you have time to recharge.
