Marketing Manager at Portex

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team as our first marketing hire. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in the United States. At Portex, we are developing a procurement and payment operating system designed to modernize the four trillion dollar logistics industry. Our founding team brings experience from companies like Flexport, Uber, and Procore, and we are backed by over eight million dollars in seed funding from prominent investors. As we scale our customer base and refine our monetization strategy, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our marketing function from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments across various channels, such as performance marketing, content, referral programs, and lifecycle marketing, to identify effective growth levers.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics to provide actionable insights that optimize our campaigns and improve conversion rates.
• Collaborate closely with our sales team to align on target accounts and develop creative demand generation strategies that reach businesses in traditional industries.

Requirements

• At least three years of marketing experience within a B2B SaaS company, ideally at the pre-Series B or pre-Series A stage.
• A versatile generalist mindset with a proven ability to take projects from zero to one and manage multiple experiments simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and the ability to communicate insights effectively to scale successful initiatives.
• Expertise in a wide range of go-to-market strategies, including paid marketing, outbound efforts, and partnerships.
• Excellent storytelling capabilities, both in written and visual formats, and a comfort level with the ambiguity of an early-stage startup environment.
