Marketing Intern - Events and Content Management at Chess at Three

WHO ARE WE?

Chess at Three is a US/ New York based venture capital backed early education company, newly launched in Singapore since August 2023 with strong growth plans. We have three original educational products that cater to children from ages 6 months to 11 years.

• Our signature product Chess at Three, introduces chess to children from the surprising age of three, through fun games and engaging stories. Children become successful chess players while also exploring the foundations of math, strategy and sportsmanship as they journey with a unique cast of characters on an exciting narrative adventure.
• Bea and Bop's Playgroup, is a creative play and early development class for ages 6-30 months, incorporating puppetry, music and movement, crafts and stories.  
• Birchguard Quest is a speech and drama program for children aged 6 to 11, in the form of an educational roleplaying game, that develops creativity, collaboration, communication and leadership skills. 

By harnessing the power of stories, Chess at Three’s award winning curriculum has been taught to over 150,000 children in homes, schools, and online around the world. In Singapore, we currently operate lessons in our club in United Square at Novena, or Harbourfront. 

What Is the Role:

We're looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team in Singapore. This role is pivotal in managing our promotional events and roadshows, assisting in their organization, and effectively communicating with parents. Moreover, this role also places significant emphasis on crafting marketing and communication materials about our holiday camps and regular term classes. If you have a passion for event planning, creative content, and a desire to make a meaningful impact on young minds, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events and roadshows.
• Assist in coordination of logistics to ensure events run smoothly.
• Help develop eye-catching advertisements and promotional materials.
• Capture high-quality photos and videos of our chess camps.
• Craft compelling marketing and communication materials about our holiday camps and regular term classes.
• Assist in customer communications and cross-selling of products.

Qualifications:

• Enthusiasm for event planning and marketing.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in crafting marketing and communication materials.
• Creativity and a keen eye for detail.
• Basic understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
• Photography and videography skills are a plus.

Job Type: Internship

Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, except when we are hosting company Events
