Role at a glance
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a mid-level position based on-site in New Westminster, Canada. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with technical developers, quality teams, and production staff to refine our manufacturing processes.
Your impact
- Develop and implement automated solutions and new templates for sewing operations to boost both quality and overall productivity.
- Analyze current production methods through time studies and motion analysis to ensure we are using our resources as efficiently as possible.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing principles to new products, creating the necessary tooling, fixtures, and templates to streamline manual assembly.
What you'll need
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Practical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, specifically with industrial engineering, new product introduction, and fixture design.
- Background in apparel or outdoor equipment manufacturing, including a solid understanding of construction techniques.
- Proven expertise in LEAN manufacturing, 6S, machine automation, and project management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate cross-functional collaborations with competing priorities.
- A flexible mindset that embraces ambiguity and a proactive approach to root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Fluency in English.
