The opportunity

We are looking for a Manager of PV & Performance Engineering to take the lead on our solar project designs. In this role, you will be the primary voice for energy modeling, PV performance, and production estimates. You will also manage our engineering consultants and oversee the deliverables provided by Independent Engineers during the financing phase of our projects. While this is currently a sole contributor role, it is a pivotal position that will help define our technical standards as our team continues to expand.

A day in the life

• You will own the technical design process, including system sizing, equipment selection, and electrical modeling to ensure we hit our performance and financial targets.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as development and procurement, to optimize designs for the lowest Levelized Cost of Energy while navigating complex regulatory and technical challenges.
• You will guide Independent Engineers through the diligence process for project financing and develop technical specifications that ensure our power plants are built to the highest standards.

Who you are

You are a senior-level engineer with at least 6 years of experience in utility-scale PV performance engineering. You have a strong grasp of the full project lifecycle, from initial development and design to EPC contracting and construction. You are comfortable working in English and bring a commercial mindset that allows you to balance technical risk with financial outcomes. Ideally, you have a BS in Engineering, though an MS or PhD is a plus. You are proficient in tools like PVSyst and Plant Predict, and if you have experience with scripting languages like VBA, Matlab, or Python, that is even better.
