The role
We are seeking a Manager, Front-End Development to join our Marketing department on a full-time, on-site basis in Canada. This is a management-level position where you will lead our front-end team and help shape the strategic direction of our website initiatives. You will report to the Senior Manager of Website Strategy and act as a key technical leader for jobber.com.
Core responsibilities
- Lead and mentor your team. You will focus on performance management, conducting regular one-on-ones, and providing the coaching necessary to help your team members reach their full career potential.
- Drive technical strategy. You will establish best practices for high-quality, scalable code while acting as the subject matter expert for all front-end development projects.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with leadership and various departments to remove roadblocks, build guardrails, and execute web projects that support our broader marketing goals.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven expertise in front-end development, specifically with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, with a focus on growing teams and providing constructive feedback.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain transparency within an agile environment.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems.
