The role
We are looking for a Manager, Content Editing to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a management-level position for a self-directed professional who is passionate about editorial excellence and the impact of high-quality content on our brand. You will lead our editing branch, ensuring that our output is accurate, consistent, and strategically aligned with our broader marketing goals.
Core responsibilities
- Oversee and perform comprehensive copy editing across various departments, including Content Marketing, Revenue Marketing, SEO, and technical documentation, while maintaining high standards for all published material.
- Manage, coach, and mentor direct reports by conducting performance reviews, holding regular one-on-one meetings, and fostering professional development to help your team reach their potential.
- Drive strategic innovation by identifying process improvements, coaching the wider marketing team on editorial best practices, and analyzing competitive editorial strategies to keep G2 at the forefront of the industry.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in content strategy and team leadership. We value candidates who bring the following qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in AP style, grammar, and syntax, along with a deep understanding of the marketing funnel.
- Typically 4+ years of relevant experience, including 1 to 2 years in management or project management, specifically within content marketing or SEO teams.
- Proven ability to lead groups of 3 to 5 people, including experience with performance management and conflict resolution.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Technical proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, HubSpot, and various content management systems.
- The ability to adapt quickly to the specific tone and voice required for G2’s various properties.
