Are you ready to shape the future of accessible learning disability assessments and help millions of students get the support they deserve? At Marker Learning, we are building technology that makes high-quality evaluations faster, more affordable, and available to the 1 in 5 students who need them. Backed by leading mission-driven investors and education nonprofits, we combine clinical expertise with advanced AI to transform how schools and families understand learning differences.
What you bring
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on a full-time remote basis, you will join an early-stage team working at the intersection of engineering, edtech, and artificial intelligence. You will design and deploy models that power our assessment tools, working with Python, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and data science techniques. Your contributions will directly influence how we analyze one of the largest learning-differences datasets and integrate large language models into production systems.
- Design, implement, and deploy machine learning models for assessment tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with data scientists and psychometricians to integrate machine learning techniques into psychometric test development.
- Deploy and integrate large language models and other natural language processing solutions into production environments while monitoring performance and reliability.
This role is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a B.S., Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, along with at least four years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production. You should bring a strong command of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and natural language processing, plus fluency in Python. Clear and adaptable communication skills are essential so you can translate technical findings for clinicians, product managers, and other non-technical colleagues. An ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and excited to work in a mission-driven environment that values diverse perspectives.
What we offer
We provide the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere while contributing to meaningful work that improves educational outcomes for students across the country.
- Fully remote work arrangement
