We are looking for a talented Lead UI Designer to join our team and help us push the boundaries of digital and physical interaction. At intent, we have spent over a decade conceptualizing and building applications for the IoT and connected device space. Operating as an agency, we partner with international clients to bridge the gap between hardware and software. Our portfolio includes diverse projects like brainwave-monitoring headphones, smart rings for health tracking, and complex rebranding for major audio equipment brands. We work in interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact MVPs and app redesigns, and we would love for you to bring your expertise to our collaborative environment.
What is this role?
This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates located anywhere. As a Lead UI Designer, you will take ownership of the visual direction for our projects. You will be a central figure in our interdisciplinary teams, working alongside project managers, developers, and researchers to turn complex concepts into intuitive, high-fidelity mobile experiences.
What will you do?
- Take full ownership of the aesthetic and visual direction for our applications, ensuring every detail aligns with the client's vision.
- Create comprehensive visual guidelines and maintain Figma files that serve as clear, professional documentation for both our internal developers and our clients.
- Lead client presentations to articulate your design decisions and collaborate with our sales team to provide accurate effort estimates for new projects.
What makes you a great fit?
To thrive in this role, you should have a deep passion for mobile technology and a strong grasp of iOS and Android platform guidelines. We are looking for someone who balances a creative, artistic approach with a solid understanding of usability and accessibility. Your toolkit should include:
- Expertise in Figma and the ability to build and manage robust Design Systems.
- A strong background in designing micro-interactions and animations that elevate the user experience.
- Excellent English communication skills, allowing you to confidently present to clients and explain technical design complexities.
If you have experience in the health, well-being, or audio industries, or if you consider yourself an IoT geek, you will feel right at home with us.
What's in it for you?
Beyond working on cutting-edge technology, we offer a supportive and collaborative culture where designers share knowledge, trends, and laughs. You will benefit from:
- The flexibility of remote work.
- A professional environment that values your growth and provides a safe space for creative expression.
- The opportunity to shape the future of connected devices alongside a team of experts in strategy, UX, and development.
