About the Role
We are searching for a Lead Security and Network Engineer to join us in a full-time capacity. In this position, you will take the helm of our security strategy and ensure our infrastructure remains resilient. This is an on-site role, as we believe being together in the office is the best way to foster the collaboration and creativity that define our studio culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of five security and network engineers to maintain high performance and operational excellence.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate infrastructure vulnerabilities by utilizing advanced security tools and conducting regular forensic log analysis.
- Collaborate with the IT management team to shape our information security strategy while overseeing the implementation of network security components like next-generation firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in both network architecture and security operations. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least five years of relevant experience in a demanding IT environment, including a proven track record of managing a team of five or more people.
- Expert-level knowledge of network design and protocols, specifically regarding WAN/LAN technologies, datacenter environments, and routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto hardware and software, alongside a solid grasp of security frameworks and penetration testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively train staff and document best practices.
- Bonus points if you have experience with AWS, automation platforms such as Terraform and Ansible, or scripting for automation tasks.
Location
This position is based in the United Kingdom. You will be working on-site to ensure close coordination with our development and IT teams.
