Our platform currently supports over 20 million students and 65,000 educators, providing access to millions of study resources and 24/7 tutoring. We are a mission-driven company dedicated to helping students graduate feeling confident and prepared, and we would love for you to join us in making every study hour count.
What is this role?
We are searching for a Lead Product Designer to take ownership of our design system and help us scale our visual identity across multiple domains. This is a full-time, hybrid position open to candidates in the United States and Canada. We are looking for a seasoned professional with extensive experience who can bridge the gap between high-level strategy and pixel-perfect execution.
What will you do?
- Lead the evolution of our design system by partnering with designers and front-end engineers to create a scalable library of reusable, aesthetically consistent components.
- Collaborate with product managers and researchers to translate complex user needs into elegant, data-driven experiences for both desktop and mobile web.
- Mentor other designers on the team, championing user-centered design practices and helping elevate the quality of our product output across the company.
What makes you a great fit?
You are a systems thinker who thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment. You have a strong command of Figma and a proven track record of shipping successful products. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- At least 8 years of individual contributor experience leading UX design for web applications.
- Deep expertise in managing and building design systems from the ground up.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to solve complex problems, your design process, and the tangible impact your work has had on users.
- Excellent communication skills and a leadership style rooted in growth and collaboration.
- Fluency in English.
What's in it for you?
We offer a competitive compensation package and a supportive work environment. For roles based in California, the base salary range is $176,000 to $238,000. Our benefits include:
- Hybrid work arrangements with flexible hours.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life and disability insurance.
- 401(k) or retirement savings plans with company matching.
- Paid time off and professional development opportunities.
