Are you ready to shape the next great title at Demiurge Studios? We are looking for a visionary Lead Game Designer to join our team and help craft an immersive, best-in-class open-world RPG. With over 20 years of experience and a history of collaborating on massive titles like Marvel Snap and Teamfight Tactics, we are currently pushing the boundaries on our own independent projects. Role at a glance
This is a full-time, lead-level position that can be performed remotely from anywhere. You will serve as a core member of our leadership team, guiding the design vision for our upcoming open-world RPG and empowering a cross-functional team to bring that vision to life.
Your impact
- Take full ownership of the design, documentation, and implementation of an immersive open-world experience that delivers on a strong player fantasy.
- Collaborate with product leadership to transform high-level concepts into practical, executable designs that thrive in a production environment.
- Lead, coach, and inspire a cross-functional team of artists, animators, and engineers through clear feedback and hands-on prototyping in Unreal Engine.
What you'll need
- At least 8 years of professional game design experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a lead design role.
- Proven success in designing significant gameplay systems for at least one shipped open-world RPG.
- Expertise in rapid prototyping using Unreal Engine, including a deep understanding of blueprints and technical implementation.
- Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to bridge the gap between creative vision and technical constraints while navigating an agile, fast-paced environment.
- A self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for taking projects from initial concept all the way to launch.
- Fluency in English.
