Intermediate UI Designer at Global Relay

Global Relay has spent over two decades defining the standard for enterprise information archiving, providing cloud-based surveillance, eDiscovery, and analytics to the world’s most highly regulated firms. We are looking for an Intermediate UI Designer to join our team in the United Kingdom on a full-time, hybrid basis to help shape the visual future of our enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the visual language across our web, desktop, and mobile platforms.
• Translate complex requirements into intuitive, functional, and aesthetically vibrant user interfaces.
• Develop and document new components and interaction patterns for our internal design system.
• Ensure all designs adhere to WCAG and WAI-ARIA accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept to final QA.
• Apply core design principles, including typography, layout composition, and visual hierarchy, to every project.
• Create high-fidelity mock-ups, iconography, and UI illustrations.

Must-haves

• 3 to 4 years of professional experience in visual or UI design for digital applications.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your work on shipped products or services.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software, including Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Deep understanding of color theory and typography.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• A bachelor’s degree in a design-related field.
• Prior experience contributing to design systems or component libraries.
• Practical skills in motion design.
