Key outcomes

• Partner with the product development team to conceive and deliver new electric bicycle models that address real customer needs from initial concept through production release.
• Establish and refine brand icons that strengthen Aventon’s visual identity across product lines and marketing materials.
• Produce sketches, renderings, and 3D models that clearly communicate design intent to internal teams and external partners.
• Monitor emerging trends and technologies in the electric bicycle sector and translate relevant insights into actionable design directions.
• Generate detailed specifications and documentation using industry-standard design software to support accurate manufacturing and cost control.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to confirm that designs are feasible, meet quality targets, and align with cost parameters.
• Lead design reviews, gather feedback, and iterate until each product satisfies established design and quality standards.
• Organize and interpret user testing sessions to verify that final designs are intuitive, comfortable, and aligned with rider expectations.
• Maintain clear communication across cross-functional teams to keep projects on schedule and aligned with broader business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of three years of professional experience in industrial design, with demonstrated work on consumer products.
• Proficiency with Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, and KeyShot; ability to adopt emerging tools such as AI-assisted design platforms quickly.
• Comprehensive understanding of the full design process, from early ideation through manufacturing hand-off.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborative mindset, and proven problem-solving ability.
• Genuine enthusiasm for cycling and familiarity with the electric bicycle market.
• Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Prior experience designing and supporting the manufacture of bicycles or related mobility products.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in a hybrid environment that balances in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
• Track record of contributing to data-informed design decisions and adapting priorities in fast-moving projects.
