Industrial Design Lead at Einride

What you bring

As our Industrial Design Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product ecosystem while also spearheading our new initiative to offer design services to external clients. This full-time, hybrid position based in Sweden requires a leader who is comfortable working hands-on while guiding an interdisciplinary team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leading the industrial design team and steering the creative vision for both internal projects and external client engagements.
• Managing the entire product development lifecycle, from initial user insights and conceptualization to implementation and mass production scaling.
• Developing compelling presentations and leading business pitches to communicate design strategies and creative solutions effectively.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a long, solid background in designing high-quality hardware products and previous experience working within a design agency or studio. You should possess a refined sense of form and exceptional digital sketching skills, which must be clearly demonstrated in your portfolio. Technical proficiency is essential, specifically with NURBS CAD tools like Rhino, polygon modeling software such as Blender, rendering tools like V-Ray, and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. You must have a strong grasp of manufacturing techniques and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with engineering teams. We value an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Fluency in English is required, and while not mandatory, experience in the automotive industry, A-class surfacing, or mechanical design is considered a significant bonus.
