The role

We are hiring a Head of Software Engineering to lead our remote-first engineering organization on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with significant prior experience guiding engineering teams through rapid growth phases in scale-up environments.

Core responsibilities

• Coach and mentor a high-performing group of engineers while remaining an active contributor who earns trust through direct participation in code and technical decisions.
• Guide the team in maintaining a clean, lean, and efficient codebase, orchestrating continuous deployment of new features, and introducing improved technologies and ways of working.
• Partner closely with the product team to refine requirements and ensure the engineering roadmap aligns with company goals in an AI-first environment.

Skills and experience

• At least five years of full-stack software engineering experience, including strong proficiency in Kotlin and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to work with APIs as primary building blocks and to uphold high standards of code health in fast-paced, remote, asynchronous settings.
• A collaborative, positive, and open-minded personality with a genuine passion for generative AI and data products.
• Fluency in English.
