The opportunity

We are searching for a Head of Marketing to join our executive team and report directly to our CEO. This is a pivotal role where you will define and execute our marketing strategy to position Upbound as the definitive leader in the cloud platform ecosystem. You will work closely with our go-to-market team to engage technical buyers and developers, building a robust customer pipeline that aligns with our ambitious revenue goals. As we grow, you will be the driving force behind our brand identity and our efforts to connect with the broader cloud native community.

A day in the life

• You will lead and mentor a growing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation while building the internal capacity needed to support our company's rapid expansion.
• You will design and execute multi-channel demand generation campaigns, collaborating with sales to refine our lead funnel and ensure our messaging resonates with developers and enterprise decision-makers.
• You will oversee the creation of high-quality content and thought leadership materials, while also managing our developer advocacy strategy and ecosystem partnerships to strengthen our presence in the open-source community.

Who you are

You are an experienced executive with a deep background in marketing enterprise technology solutions. You possess the following qualifications:

• Over 10 years of professional marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a formal leadership role.
• A proven track record of success within the cloud, cloud-native, or platform engineering sectors.
• Strong expertise in B2B strategies, covering demand generation, product marketing, and content creation.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives.
• A collaborative mindset and familiarity with modern marketing tools, alongside a strong desire to engage with open-source communities.
• Fluency in English.
