We are dedicated to shaping the future of renewable energy by simplifying the management of energy assets through our Amperecloud Platform. Our mission is to build the operating system for the renewable energy grid, ensuring that green energy effectively drives global growth. We are currently seeking a sharp, product-focused engineering leader to join our team in Berlin. In this role, you will scale our engineering organization and help construct the intelligence behind mission-critical energy infrastructure that operators rely on every day.

Key outcomes

• Team & Structure: You will be responsible for scaling and organizing our engineering department.
• Architecture: You will lead major decisions regarding our platform architecture and technical systems.
• Delivery: You will improve our development processes to ensure they are faster, more reliable, and predictable.
• AI Enablement: You will integrate artificial intelligence into our products and internal tools to generate meaningful operational value.
• Execution: You will act as a problem solver, unblocking teams and maintaining momentum during complex projects.

Requirements

• Architecture & Infrastructure: You possess extensive experience in systems architecture and infrastructure management.
• Tech Stack: You have deep technical familiarity with Kubernetes, Node.js, React, and microservices.
• Product Mindset: You prioritize a product-first approach where technology serves the needs of the user.
• AI: You have a demonstrated ability to work in an AI-first manner.
• Leadership Experience: You have a proven track record of leading multiple engineering teams within high-growth startups or top-tier technology companies.
• Curiosity: You are a fast, sharp thinker with a genuine interest in physical and electrical systems.
• Communication: You are capable of communicating clearly with engineers, customers, and various stakeholders.
• Execution: You perform well under pressure and focus on delivering tangible results.
• Language: Proficiency in English is required.

Preferred qualifications

• An entrepreneurial background, such as previous experience as a founder or freelancer, is considered a plus.

Compensation

We offer a unique opportunity to own engineering end-to-end, including structure, architecture, and delivery outcomes. You will have direct access to our founders and work closely with key customers on mission-critical operations. Your architectural decisions will directly impact real-world energy assets and platform scalability, and you will have the mandate to implement AI where it creates genuine leverage. Please note that this is an office-first role based in Berlin with limited home office flexibility.
