The opportunity

We are seeking a Head of Engineering who excels as a player-coach. This is a pivotal role for someone who is comfortable operating at a high strategic level while remaining willing to dive into the code when the situation calls for it. You will be responsible for scaling our remote engineering team, refining our development processes, and ensuring our technical roadmap aligns perfectly with our business objectives. You will work in close partnership with our CEO and product leadership to drive innovation, all while providing the mentorship and technical guidance our engineers need to solve complex problems.

• You will lead by example, acting as a hands-on technical expert who mentors the team and supports them through challenging development tasks.

Who you are

You are an experienced leader who has successfully guided engineering teams through periods of rapid growth, ideally taking a team from a small group to 15 or more members. You possess over 10 years of experience building customer-facing web applications and have deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment and communicate with clarity and purpose. Furthermore, you have a genuine interest in AI and are familiar with modern technology stacks such as PHP, Vue, and Python.
