About the Role
We are hiring a Head of Data and Machine Learning on a full-time basis. In this senior leadership position you will own analytics, data science, machine learning, and data/analytics engineering, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. You will shape our data strategy, build the team from the ground up, and remain hands-on as you deliver the first key solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow and lead a high-caliber team across analytics, data science, machine learning, and data/analytics engineering while fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.
- Personally design, build, and productionize machine-learning models that improve demand forecasting, personalization, and operational efficiency using the unique longitudinal data we have collected.
- Own the full data roadmap, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable impact for our members and reduce household waste.
Requirements
- At least six years of experience spanning machine learning, data science, and analytics, with deep expertise in machine-learning techniques.
- At least two years of experience managing data teams and a demonstrated record of shipping high-impact AI solutions.
- Strong background in data infrastructure and analytics engineering to design scalable, reliable data systems.
- Hands-on experience deploying production AI systems with Python, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience collaborating with product engineering teams to translate business goals into technical deliverables.
Location
This role is based on-site in the United States, and we believe our best work happens when the team is together in person.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $230,000 – $300,000. In addition, we offer equity compensation, paid time off, and professional-development support.
