Head of AI Delivery at Janea Systems

The role

We are seeking an experienced executive to serve as our Head of AI Delivery. This is a full-time, remote position for a leader who is ready to build and scale our AI consulting practice. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering and Delivery, acting as a pivotal member of our engineering team. Please note that while this role is 100% remote, it requires residency within Europe.

Core responsibilities

• Strategic Growth: Define and execute a comprehensive strategy for our AI practice, including the creation of new service offerings, identification of target markets, and management of necessary resources.
• Business Development and Thought Leadership: Drive client engagement by participating in pre-sales activities, defining project scopes, and representing Janea Systems at industry conferences and executive panels to establish our credibility.
• Team Leadership and Governance: Mentor and guide a team of data scientists and engineers while establishing robust AI governance structures to ensure all implementations are ethical and responsible.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should possess a deep technical background and a proven ability to lead high-level initiatives. We require the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in the AI and Machine Learning space, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Extensive technical expertise in machine learning algorithms, data modeling, model deployment, and core software engineering principles.
• A track record of building and scaling AI-focused consulting businesses or service lines.
• Strong business acumen with experience in solution architecture and client-facing roles.
• Exceptional communication skills, including a strong executive presence and experience with public speaking.
• The ability to foster and manage strategic partnerships with AI vendors, academic institutions, and industry leaders.
• Fluency in English.
