The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Product Manager with a strong background in electronic engineering to join our team in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the development of our next generation of hardware, including body-worn cameras, specialized battery charging equipment, and wireless accessories. You will bridge the gap between technical design and product strategy, ensuring that our hardware meets the highest standards of quality and innovation. This is a full-time, hybrid position that offers the chance to shape the physical products that keep people safe every day.
A day in the life
- You will lead the end-to-end design and development process, from creating initial prototypes and debugging new concepts to managing the final bill of materials and technical specifications.
- You will collaborate closely with our manufacturing partners and contractors to conduct design reviews, define rigorous product acceptance criteria, and ensure every deliverable meets our quality metrics.
- You will oversee complex product compliance and regulatory requirements, ensuring our hardware adheres to worldwide standards such as CE, UKCA, FCC, and various safety and environmental ratings.
Who you are
You are an experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering, and you bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience in hardware design and testing. You are fluent in English and possess the following skills:
- Deep expertise in schematics, PCB design, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of video, audio, power management, and wireless communication systems.
- Proficiency with EDA tools like OrCad, Allegro, or Solidworks.
- Familiarity with embedded development platforms like ARM, MIPS, or RISC.
- A solid understanding of the full manufacturing cycle and product compliance testing.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in supporting our employees with a flexible work environment that respects your life outside of the office. You will benefit from our hybrid work policy, which allows for a balance between collaborative in-office time and focused remote work. Our hiring process is designed to be efficient and transparent, typically taking 1 to 3 weeks, and includes an introductory meeting, a deep dive with the hiring manager, and a technical discussion with the broader team. We are an equal opportunity employer and we take pride in fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong.
