At BlueSpace.ai, we are transforming the autonomous vehicle landscape through our proprietary 4D Predictive Perception technology. By moving away from a heavy reliance on massive datasets, we utilize next-generation 4D sensors to predict object motion with incredible precision. Our work is setting new benchmarks for safety and efficiency in the industry. Our team is composed of experts from top research institutions, major OEMs, and leading autonomous driving companies, all united by a history of successful service launches across California, Texas, and Florida. We are looking for people who are eager to solve the most difficult problems in mobility and help us define the future of transportation.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based in the United States. You will play a vital role in our engineering department, helping us build the physical systems that power our autonomous platforms. We are seeking someone with 5 to 10 years of experience who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of complex hardware challenges.
Core responsibilities
- Design and develop custom hardware enclosures for the electronic systems used in our autonomous vehicles.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of component sourcing, including identifying vendors, negotiating terms, and supervising their work to ensure high quality.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of hardware to ensure it performs reliably in rugged, real-world conditions.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a solid foundation in engineering and a passion for hardware development. We require the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, though an advanced degree is a plus.
- Between 5 and 10 years of professional experience, ideally within the robotics, GNSS, or autonomous vehicle sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Deep knowledge of off-the-shelf electronic components and materials.
- A strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent project management and communication skills to coordinate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Bonus points if you have experience with thermal management, EMI/EMC considerations, or designing for harsh environments.
Compensation and benefits
We believe in supporting our employees both inside and outside of the office. This role includes the following benefit:
- Hybrid work flexibility to help you balance your professional and personal life.
How to apply
If you are a self-motivated engineer who is ready to push the boundaries of what is possible in autonomous technology, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to be considered for this position. BlueSpace.ai is an equal opportunity employer, and we value the unique perspectives that every team member brings to our mission.
