Apollo Agriculture is an innovative agri-fintech platform dedicated to helping small-scale farmers across Africa boost their profitability and adopt sustainable farming practices. By leveraging artificial intelligence and automated operations, we provide farmers with essential financing, high-quality agricultural products, and expert digital guidance. Our impact is significant, as we served over 200,000 farmers in Kenya and Zambia in 2023 and continue to grow alongside global partners like Bayer, OCP, and Yara. We are now seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join our team in Nairobi. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization while developing your design skills under the mentorship of our Head of Creative.
Key outcomes
- Execute design and animation requests with a high level of creativity and precision.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams by utilizing our briefing and feedback processes to refine your work.
- Maintain an organized and efficient archiving system to ensure assets are easily accessible for future projects.
- Uphold and champion the Apollo Agriculture brand identity across all visual materials.
- Produce high-quality print designs with a strong focus on editorial projects.
- Contribute to the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns through compelling visual storytelling.
- Engage in continuous professional development by exploring new techniques and tools with guidance from leadership.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
- Strong artistic vision and a creative mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Foundational knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Technical proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects for video production.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and accept constructive feedback.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your design capabilities, including any samples of animation or motion design.
Preferred qualifications
- Demonstrable skills in photography and videography.
