At Shaper, we believe that tools should adapt to the people using them, not the other way around. Since our founding in San Francisco in 2012, we have been on a mission to revolutionize woodworking with our computer-assisted power tools, starting with our signature hand-held CNC router, Origin. Our European headquarters in Stuttgart has been growing since 2019, and we are proud to support thousands of craftspeople and woodworkers across the globe. We are now looking for a creative individual to join our team for a six-month internship, where you will help us shape the future of our brand.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Graphic Design Intern to join us on a full-time basis in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. This role is designed for a student looking to complete their practical semester. You will be an integral part of our international marketing team, working across various media formats to refine your skills and contribute to our global presence. Whether you are working on print advertisements, digital landing pages, or social media campaigns, you will have the chance to see your work make a real impact on how our community experiences our products.
A day in the life
- You will collaborate with our global marketing team to define and evolve the visual identity of Shaper.
- You will participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative concepts, mood boards, and visual strategies for upcoming campaigns.
- Once you are familiar with our corporate design standards, you will take ownership of smaller projects and assist in the international adaptation of our creative materials.
Who you are
You are currently in the second half of your studies, ideally focusing on Communication Design or a related field. You have already gained some practical experience, whether through previous internships, working student positions, or your own personal creative projects. You have a genuine interest in brand and product strategy and you are comfortable working in both German and English. If you happen to speak French, that is a wonderful bonus. We value people who are structured, reliable, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Why you'll love it here
We want you to feel at home and inspired while you are with us. You will have full access to our well-equipped workshop, complete with materials and training to explore your own projects. We offer flexible working hours and thoughtfully designed remote work options to help you balance your life. You will also enjoy employee discounts on Shaper and Festool tools while working alongside a diverse, talented, and international group of colleagues.
We know that job descriptions cannot capture every single skill that makes a person a great fit. If you are excited about this role but do not feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We value the unique perspective you bring to our team.
