As a publicly listed media company, we bridge the gap between editorial news and commerce, reaching a massive audience across North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Our ecosystem is vast, spanning our core media platforms, our creative agency Hypemaker, and our retail destination HBX. We are currently searching for a strategic Global Marketing Manager to join our team in Hong Kong and help us shape the future of how our community engages with the culture they love.
The opportunity
This is a senior-level role designed for a data-driven leader who understands the pulse of digital marketing. You will play a pivotal part in expanding our reach, focusing on user acquisition, retention, and the strategic growth of our newsletter offerings. By working closely with our sales and editorial teams, you will ensure that our content reaches the right people at the right time. We are looking for someone who can translate complex data into actionable tactics, helping us maintain our position at the forefront of global trends and subcultures.
A day in the life
- You will lead performance marketing initiatives to grow our user base, while simultaneously managing our digital platforms to ensure we are always utilizing the latest industry best practices.
- You will collaborate with our sales department to monetize our newsletters and identify fresh, untapped areas for business expansion.
- You will analyze campaign performance and report on results, using those insights to refine our strategies and ensure we are always hitting our growth targets.
Who you are
You are a creative thinker with at least 5 years of experience in newsletter publishing and business development. You have a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of how to use data to drive real-world results. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following:
- Strong proficiency in Google Analytics and various newsletter management tools.
- A foundational ability to use Photoshop for content creation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A proven track record of executing marketing strategies that deliver a clear return on investment.
- The flexibility to work across different time zones, including nights or weekends when the global nature of our business requires it.
- Experience with CRM systems is considered a significant advantage.
