At Kwalee, we publish games that reach players around the world. Our mobile titles have surpassed 1.5 billion downloads, and our PC and console releases regularly appear on global charts across Steam, consoles, and Amazon. Recent successes include The Precinct and Town to City. We are expanding our publishing activities and invite an experienced Game Scout to join the PC and Console team from New Zealand or Australia.
Key outcomes
- Identify promising PC and console games through research, industry insight, and direct outreach.
- Assess submitted titles and support internal due diligence to determine publishing potential.
- Build and lead a small team of Publishing Scouts and Publishing Evangelists.
- Develop and maintain a broad network of developer contacts across the region.
- Track market trends and competitor activity to guide scouting priorities and publishing strategy.
- Deliver regular market and pipeline updates to the Head of PC and Console Publishing.
- Play and analyse both our titles and competing releases to understand what drives commercial success.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in video game scouting, business development, or a closely related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective teamwork and external engagement.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and professional networking tools.
- Demonstrated success in securing publishing agreements and competing effectively for new business.
- Working knowledge of industry legal frameworks and the ability to structure mutually beneficial deals.
- Willingness to travel internationally to industry events.
- An established professional network within the games sector in New Zealand or Australia.
- Fluency in English.
