Game Economy Designer at Clipwire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Game Economy Designer to drive the game economy and balancing direction of our games from balancing the overall economy to creating data models for unreleased features. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of economy design principles and math behind games, a knack for creating datasheets and economy models. If you are passionate about numbers that not only change how we monetize but also drive player behavior through data-driven insights, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with game designers to adjust game economy, define virtual in game products and balance features.
• Analyze player data and feedback to continuously improve the product and fine-tune the game economy.
• Monitor game health using various dashboards, working closely with the data science team to ensure your data needs are met.
• Manage pricing and key price points, implement selling strategies for our players.

• Develop clear and concise data models, including flowcharts, and data prototypes.

• Pitch innovative game updates related to economy balance to enhance player behavior, increasing key metrics such as retention, engagement, and monetization.
• Gather player insights through playtests and maintain a strong connection with our player base.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in mobile game economy design.
• Proven experience with ability to balance game economy, features and pricing.
• Deep understanding of game balance, economy design, and user behavioral motivations.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Extensive knowledge of free-to-play games in the casual, puzzle, or casino mobile genres.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills; ability to creatively solve key problems with minimal guidance.
• Thrives in an agile, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and iterative team environment.
