What is this role?

We are looking for a Mid-Level Game Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role, and while we prefer candidates who can relocate to our office in Hunt Valley, Maryland, we are open to remote arrangements for the right person. You will work closely with our Creative Director to refine our core mechanics and ensure every element of the player experience feels rewarding and fun.

What will you do?

• You will design and champion new gameplay systems while creating detailed documentation to guide the development process from initial concept to final implementation.
• You will collaborate across different departments to ensure our vision is clear, using your expertise in strategy and turn based tactics to build engaging player experiences.
• You will analyze player feedback and telemetry data to carefully balance and fine tune our gameplay features for the best possible experience.

To be successful in this role, you should have a solid foundation in game development and a passion for strategy games. We are looking for someone who brings the following skills and experience:

• At least 3 years of professional experience within the gaming industry.
• Proven ability to design complex gameplay systems and a strong understanding of Unreal 4.
• Practical experience with visual scripting and various design tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear documentation and team collaboration.
• The ability to thrive in both independent projects and team-based settings.
• Fluency in English.
