The opportunity
We are looking for a Fullstack WordPress Developer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be the engine behind our digital presence, working closely with our marketing team to build, optimize, and maintain features across our various websites. You will play a vital role in ensuring our platforms remain secure, scalable, and high-performing as we continue to grow and innovate within the mortgage space.
A day in the life
- Develop and maintain both frontend and backend components to ensure our web ecosystem is secure, performant, and ready for future growth.
- Collaborate with our design team to build custom WordPress themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks that bring our marketing campaigns to life.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services while optimizing our sites for SEO and responsiveness to ensure a seamless experience for every user.
Who you are
You are a mid-level developer who is excited about the fast-paced nature of a growing startup. You bring a collaborative spirit and a keen eye for detail to every project you touch. To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in full-stack WordPress development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), MySQL, and PHP.
- Proven experience creating custom plugins and themes, as well as working with Git and Webpack.
- Bilingualism is mandatory, as you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work effectively both independently and within an agile team environment.
