We are Heron Data, a Series A startup currently transforming how financial institutions handle document processing through advanced AI and LLMs. Based in London and New York, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team on-site in London to help us build the tools that power the workflows of major banks, fintechs, and commercial insurers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
- Create intuitive UI and web components to improve our user experience.
- Build and manage integrations with third-party services and AI models.
- Take ownership of bug triaging, incident investigation, and postmortem analysis.
- Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders through regular code reviews and team discussions.
Must-haves
- Professional experience working within our core stack, which includes Python, Flask, and FastAPI for the backend.
- Proficiency in frontend development using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform on GCP or AWS.
- A strong bias for action and a passion for shipping iterative, high-impact code.
- The ability to break down complex technical challenges into simple, effective solutions.
- Full-time availability to work on-site in London.
- Fluency in English.
