We are Heron Data, a Series A startup currently transforming how financial institutions handle document processing through advanced AI and LLMs. Based in London and New York, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team on-site in London to help us build the tools that power the workflows of major banks, fintechs, and commercial insurers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
Create intuitive UI and web components to improve our user experience.
Build and manage integrations with third-party services and AI models.
Take ownership of bug triaging, incident investigation, and postmortem analysis.
Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders through regular code reviews and team discussions.

Must-haves

Professional experience working within our core stack, which includes Python, Flask, and FastAPI for the backend.
Proficiency in frontend development using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform on GCP or AWS.
A strong bias for action and a passion for shipping iterative, high-impact code.
The ability to break down complex technical challenges into simple, effective solutions.
Full-time availability to work on-site in London.
Fluency in English.
