We are amika, a Brooklyn-born brand that celebrates the beauty of diversity and the power of community. Our name means friend in Esperanto, and we operate as a collective of chemists, stylists, and creative enthusiasts who love to challenge the status quo. We currently offer 11 distinct collections designed to support every hair type and texture. We are looking for a Junior Copywriter to join our team on a part-time, freelance basis. In this remote role, you will help us maintain our unique brand voice across our global platforms, including our website, blog, and email campaigns. Please note that you must be based in the United States and available to work during East Coast (EST) hours.

Responsibilities

Write engaging copy for both evergreen and promotional email campaigns.
Collaborate with our e-commerce team and other key stakeholders to develop content for our website.
Review and proofread copy within design layouts while maintaining clear and efficient internal communication.
Serve as the primary copy contact for various one-off projects as they arise.

Requirements

You have 1 to 3 years of professional copywriting experience, ideally within the beauty industry.
You possess a strong background in email marketing, product page copy, and SEO best practices.
You have demonstrated ability in long-form creative writing, with preference given to those who have managed blog content.
You have previous experience working in the beauty sector, either in-house or at an agency.
Familiarity with Asana is considered a significant plus for this position.
