The role

We are seeking a Founding AI Engineer to join our team in a full-time, lead-level capacity. This is a strategic, high-impact role based in our New York City office. As an early member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for defining our AI roadmap and building the systems that power our preventative care model. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team in Manhattan three to five days per week.

Core responsibilities

• Define and execute our AI strategy, ensuring that our technical architecture is scalable, reliable, and ethically sound.
• Develop advanced systems to transform complex, unstructured health data into clear and actionable insights for our clinicians and members.
• Build and iterate on predictive algorithms and AI-powered clinical tools that enhance diagnostic accuracy and streamline medical workflows.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in engineering and a deep passion for healthcare innovation. We require the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in AI, machine learning, or software engineering, specifically with a history of deploying systems into production environments.
• Expertise in Python and proficiency with industry-standard frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to architect large-scale solutions while prioritizing long-term technical value.
• The ability to work from our office in the Financial District of New York City on a consistent basis.
• A genuine commitment to using technology to improve patient outcomes and healthcare accessibility.

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 to $250,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and long-term success.
