We are a stealth, AI-forward portfolio company backed by Menlo Ventures, and we are on a mission to make data intelligent, beautiful, and accessible to everyone. Our founding team has deep roots in Silicon Valley and a track record of building products loved by millions, and we are now looking for a Founding AI Engineer to join us in our pre-seed stage to help shape the future of human-AI collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement our core AI infrastructure, focusing on model fine-tuning, fast decoding, and multi-agent systems.
- Create intelligent recommendation systems that help users perform more effective data analysis.
- Develop capabilities for near real-time model updates based on user modifications.
- Work closely with our founders to define the technical roadmap and establish best practices for our AI development.
- Ensure that our AI outputs remain intuitive and provide deep, actionable insights.
Must-haves
- A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven ability to build and scale AI and machine learning systems from the ground up in fast-paced environments.
- Extensive experience with training and fine-tuning large language models like GPT or LLaMA.
- Deep expertise in PyTorch, vLLM, and modern AI frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Python and standard development practices such as containerization and CI/CD.
- A solid grasp of generative modeling, NLP techniques, and prompt engineering.
- Experience working with distributed architectures and multi-agent systems.
- Fluency in English and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Nice-to-haves
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and Next.js.
Benefits
We offer a salary range of $140,000 to $200,000 per year, depending on your experience and equity preference, along with early-stage equity.
