At Speechmatics, we are the leaders in Speech Intelligence, using advanced AI and machine learning to unlock the value of human speech for global businesses. We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity to help our customers and developer communities integrate our Voice AI technology effectively.
Responsibilities
- Design and build rapid prototypes, pilots, and Proofs of Concept to validate various use cases.
- Develop and deploy custom API integrations across a wide range of environments.
- Create high-impact technical demonstrations for hackathons, customer events, and developer audiences.
- Partner directly with customer engineering teams to optimize our solutions for performance, accuracy, and scale.
- Act as a technical bridge between our product team and the developer community to surface feedback and improve the overall developer experience.
- Produce technical assets such as starter kits, sample applications, and workshops to help developers succeed.
- Provide guidance on operational best practices and support successful deployments.
Must-haves
- Strong background in software engineering with extensive experience in API integration.
- Proficiency in modern web technologies, specifically TypeScript and React.
- Full-stack development capabilities.
- Ability to build both rapid prototypes and production-grade software.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with developers, customers, and internal engineering teams.
- Experience participating in technical communities through workshops, talks, or open-source contributions.
- A passion for Voice AI and conversational interfaces.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and a drive to iterate quickly.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000 USD.
