Highlight is looking for an Event Marketing Specialist to assist in the planning, coordination and management of various small to mid sized B2B events and internal events (virtual and in-person). This entry-level role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management, working alongside collaborative marketing and sales teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and able to manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.

Your Impact

Event Support: Assist in the planning, organization, and management of events, such as conferences, internal events, and customer engagement programs.

Event Communications: Draft event briefings and communications for internal teams and external stakeholders, both before and after the event.

Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external vendors to support project plans and ensure smooth coordination between all parties involved in the event.

Vendor Coordination: Assist in coordinating with external vendors such as venues, shipping, printing, and production companies to meet event requirements.

Budget Support: Assist in finalizing and reconciling event budgets by keeping detailed and organized receipt records.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.

Approximately 1-2 years of experience in marketing, event planning, or internships in related fields.

Proficient in using G-Suite applications including Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Proficient in using Canva. Familiarity with HubSpot is a plus.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Basic understanding of event management and marketing principles.

Creative, proactive, and resourceful with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Highly interpersonal, capable of building trust and respect, and driven to succeed.

This is a remote position; however, candidates based in New York City, Chicago, or Austin are preferred but not required. Regardless of location, there will be some travel required to and from events.

Based on previous experience and skillset, the starting salary range for this position: $75,000 - $95,000
