Jackpocket is the leading mobile lottery app in the United States, providing a secure and convenient way for players to order official state lottery tickets like Powerball and Mega Millions directly from their phones. We are currently transforming the 300 billion dollar global lottery market by building a modern, fun, and responsible platform that makes playing the lottery accessible to everyone.

Responsibilities

Lead our backend e-commerce team by providing daily guidance, mentorship, and support for their professional growth.
Oversee the delivery of technical projects and manage the software development lifecycle to ensure we meet our business objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize our long-term technology roadmaps.
Drive initiatives focused on employee engagement, team retention, and the strategic expansion of our engineering organization.
Improve our internal engineering processes and establish best practices across the team.
Take an active role in recruitment and employer branding to help us scale our engineering department.

Must-haves

At least 2 years of leadership experience within a fast-paced software development environment.
A history of successfully managing, mentoring, and growing productive engineering teams.
Experience overseeing both backend and frontend engineers.
Technical proficiency with Ruby and RESTful services.
Familiarity with DevOps processes and methodologies.
A solid understanding of recruitment strategies and employee engagement.
Professional fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

Experience utilizing AI tools to improve team productivity and development workflows.

Benefits

The base compensation for this position ranges from $190,000 to $210,000.

Fully remote work environment.
