We have built a powerful code intelligence platform that drives the world's most popular open-source code AI tool and advanced code search. With backing from major investors like Sequoia and a16z, we serve a wide range of customers, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. We are currently looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager for Infrastructure to join our team and help us automate the toil in software engineering so that humans can focus on creative work. While we operate remotely, this position requires you to reside in San Francisco.
What you'll be doing
- Lead our Developer Infrastructure and Release teams to drive operational excellence, improve developer productivity, and manage reliable product deployments.
- Guide your team in creating and optimizing workflows, including build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and development environments, to reduce complexity from code to deployment.
- Foster the professional growth of your reports while balancing immediate technical needs with long-term, scalable infrastructure goals.
What you'll bring
You are a leader with a strong product mindset who understands how to deliver platform value. You possess deep expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Developer Experience (DevEx), with a background that includes:
- Professional experience with Kubernetes, which is a requirement for this role.
- Proficiency in Go and familiarity with TypeScript and client ecosystems.
- Experience with Bazel, Buildkite, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and experience working with large mono-repo code bases.
- A deep understanding of operational models, such as those found in the Google SRE book or at other high-velocity technology companies.
- Fluency in English.
