Engineering Manager Full Stack Frontend at RapidSOS

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Engineering Manager to join us on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will guide a full-stack team in developing intelligent emergency technology. You will oversee the delivery of products that integrate AI-driven workflows with modern backend services and intuitive user interfaces, ensuring our systems remain scalable and reliable for the millions of 911 calls we support each month.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of our primary applications, specifically focusing on the React, TypeScript, and Python-based systems that power our emergency response tools.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of ownership, clean code, and rapid iteration.
• Champion an AI-forward development strategy by integrating advanced tools into our workflows to improve testing, prototyping, and overall team productivity.

Requirements

• Between 8 and 10 years of full-stack engineering experience, including at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive expertise in building scalable frontend applications using React, Redux, and TypeScript.
• Strong background in backend development with Python or Node, including designing robust APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools like Datadog.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and mentor engineers through architectural decisions.

Location

This position is remote, with the ability to work from anywhere. Please note that there may be a requirement for occasional in-person collaboration on a quarterly basis.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $185,000 - $210,000. In addition to competitive pay, we offer the following benefits:
