At Sprinter, we are on a mission to reimagine last-mile healthcare delivery for those who have been left behind by the traditional system. We are building a platform that bridges the gap between clinical care and patient needs, and we have already seen incredible momentum since our founding in 2021. With over 50,000 patients served, 60% coverage of the United States population, and partnerships with six of the ten largest health plans in the country, we are scaling rapidly. Backed by over $70 million in funding from top-tier investors like a16z and General Catalyst, we are looking for passionate individuals to help us tackle complex logistics and data challenges that truly make a difference in people's lives.
The role
We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead our new Automated Intelligence and Clinical Data teams. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in the United States. We are looking for a seasoned leader who can balance high-level strategy with technical execution, helping us build our data infrastructure from the ground up while mentoring a growing team of talented engineers.
Core responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 5 to 10 engineers, overseeing hiring, performance management, and professional development.
- Drive the development of our data warehouse and ML infrastructure to harmonize clinical, operational, and logistics data at scale.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and operations teams to build tools that uncover care gaps, synthesize clinical summaries using LLMs, and prevent medical data errors.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a blend of leadership experience and hands-on technical expertise. We value candidates who have a track record of building and scaling systems in high-growth environments.
- At least 3 years of experience managing and growing engineering teams.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience, ideally with a full-stack background using Node.js and React.
- Proven ability to lead data-intensive projects, including experience with data pipelines, analytics platforms, or ML infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative setting.
- Experience in health tech, logistics, or regulated industries is considered a significant plus.
Compensation and benefits
We believe in supporting our team members both inside and outside of the office. Our benefits package is designed to provide security and flexibility for you and your family.
- Comprehensive medical insurance, including 100% of family premiums paid for PPO, HMO, and HSA plans.
- Dental and vision insurance.
- 401k with company matching.
- Unlimited vacation policy to ensure you have time to recharge.
- Relocation assistance for those moving to join our team.
- A hybrid work environment that balances in-office collaboration with work from home flexibility.
