At Shield AI, our mission is to protect the lives of service members and civilians by developing intelligent systems. As a member of our Hardware Test Engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high reliability of our V-BAT vehicle. You will be responsible for creating in-house electrical and mechanical test solutions that evaluate our components and systems in both ambient and harsh environmental conditions. We are looking for a dedicated engineer to join us in our mission to deliver the most reliable aerospace hardware in the industry.
What you'll be doing
- You will own the entire process of gathering requirements, designing, and validating test stands used for our V-BAT components and subsystems.
- You will design test fixtures and simple to moderately complex PCBs that serve as the interface between your test stands and the device under test.
- You will utilize Python to build fully automated test sequences while contributing to cross-functional design reviews to advocate for testing improvements.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- A solid grasp of fundamental concepts in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, programming, physics, and mathematics.
- Hands-on experience with hardware development projects, whether from internships, academic clubs, or personal initiatives.
- Proficiency or familiarity with Python scripting.
- Experience using PCB design software like Altium and CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
- Fluency in English.
