At Framework, we are on a mission to reshape the consumer electronics industry by creating products that are built to last. Since our founding in 2019, we have introduced modular, repairable, and high-performance laptops that have earned recognition from outlets like Ars Technica and Wirecutter, as well as spots on TIME's Best Inventions lists. Our team, which includes veterans from companies like Oculus, is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer based in Taiwan to help us push the boundaries of modular hardware design.
What you'll be doing
- You will lead the electrical architecture and design of our product roadmap, taking projects from initial concepts through prototyping, NPI, and full-scale production.
- You will collaborate closely with our mechanical and firmware teams to mock up and test new concepts, ensuring our systems meet high standards for performance and repairability.
- You will manage relationships with our manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure that our electrical designs are optimized for mass production and long-term reliability.
What you'll bring
- You have at least 5 years of experience in electrical or systems engineering for consumer electronics.
- You hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or possess equivalent professional experience.
- You are highly skilled in circuit and system design, including schematic capture, layout, and simulation.
- You bring technical expertise in areas such as embedded system design, power supply design, RF/EMI, or high-speed signal integrity.
- You have a proven track record of taking novel products through the entire design and validation lifecycle into mass production.
- You are proficient in English and comfortable collaborating with international teams across different time zones.
